Abstract

Abstract: Perioperatively, the development of thromboembolism is a known entity. There are options available to prevent this occurrence which involves general measures, mechanical measures involving fewer risks, pharmacological measures that include a wide range of anticoagulants, and interventional measures requiring advanced setup and personnel. In this article, we aim to provide a brief overview of available modalities.
